If the pelvis is twisted, tilted or unbalanced it will have an effect through the sacrum and its attachments all the way up the spine and into the base of the cranium.
Cranial osteopaths are trained to feel for the natural rhythm that is present in all body tissues. When the body is under physical or emotional stress this natural rhythm is disturbed, the body tissues tighten up and the body finds it hard to return to normal. Cranial osteopaths can feel any disruption to the normal pattern of movement and encourage the body to re-establish a healthy cranial rhythm through subtle manipulation of the skull and other parts of the body.
